4th Generation Yoga instructor Viswanathan K
Vishwanathan or Magesh as he was known was the backbone of Sundara Yoga Sala operations from 1970 to around 1990. He was born in Bangalore and after completing schooling, he joined Indian Posts and Telegraphs department as a stenographer and secretary.
In the morning, he taught and managed the Yoga Sala or studio. Affable, kind and considerate, he was a favourite of all students. He was also very persuasive in making students push themselves closer to correct pose, because Yogasana requires making an unwilling and stiff body flex.
He was also an expert at massage and used massage in conjunction with Yoga for Therapy.
